I've heard that when revolutions actually happen, some of the people most surprised are the ones who've been at it for years. It can be quite sudden.

It's inspiring to see this as the context that allows change to happen.

Yes, they sometimes can be years in the making. Most important though, is the vision and then implementation of the new system.

Great blog, as always. I always say the old order can't let go until the new order is organized and developed enough to hold things in place so we don't fall into total chaos. The new order is buildng and has been for some time.

I agree with you 100% Anodea, which is why I included the quote from Gene Sharp, “You can’t blow up a bridge until you know how to build one.” We need a map of the new pathway and a way to get there. The old order will hold on with every breath they take, though, so we need to present to people a way that is inclusive of everyone and leaves no one out or left behind.

"Taking the time" is not a priority for many people these days. I get it too; there is so much to take the time to take in! (Sorry for that very-poorly-structured sentence ;)
